The Mentorship Program encourages personal interaction to foster effective formative experience, and it's all delivered by a fellow youth minister in the form of a casual conversation!
Step 1: Priest and parish leaders, we need your help! While we try to keep up with each parish in the diocese, please let us know if you have a new youth minister starting in your parish community so we can reach out to them by filling out the form below.
Step 2: The youth ministry office will reach out via phone to meet the new youth minister and assess the needs of the individual.
Step 3: The Youth Ministry office will pair an experienced mentor with the new youth minister and have an in-person meeting to set expectations and goals.
Step 4: The mentor and youth minister will meet in-person preferably four times a year. The overall formation experience will extend to at least one year. The meetings will focus on three primary goals.
To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.
To draw young people into responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community.
To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.
