One of the most crucial dimensions to an effective catechetical program is the formation of catechists. This three-session series will teach catechists, and prospective catechists alike, the fundamentals, meaning, and tasks of catechesis, and will give them more confidence in their ministry. We will also review the nuts and bolts of what the Church believes and teaches about Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation and help them become more familiar with the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
As of September 2013, all 3 sessions of Introduction to Catechesis became mandatory for all catechists. Current catechists have a grace period until August 2015 to complete all 3 sessions.
It is strongly suggested that you complete the sessions in order, but not necessary.
