"And with his household they rejoiced at having come to faith in God.” Acts 16:34
Join Bishop Serratelli and Peter Murphy, Director of Evangelization and Catechesis for the United States Conference of Bishops, for an exciting and informative day-long Conference! As we explore the first two steps of evangelization, learn basic and new ways to reach out to those around you, and those you serve, to help them encounter Jesus and enter a living relationship with Him. How do you prepare someone to encounter Christ, and how do you overcome personal obstacles to sharing your faith with others? Come and see, and learn!
How can we make use of these new insights to impact parish life, CCD, youth ministry, RCIA, and more? How can we engage not only the children and youth in our parishes, but also their parents and families, and lead them to encounter Jesus? Learn how Jesus went about this great work, and what can we learn from Him!
This is a full day conference with two keynote presentations to address the first two phases of evangelization, and two workshops that help you apply those general principles to your particular situation. Together with great music and the closing Mass for Divine Mercy Sunday with Bishop Serratelli, this day is intended to inspire and encourage participants individually, and aide them in their respective ministries, providing fresh ideas in the areas of New Evangelization and Family Catechesis.
Catechists will earn six credit hours toward Basic Catechist Certification/Validation of Certification in the area of “Scripture and Theology” or “Catechetics and Methodology”.
