Dear Youth Leader,
The Diocesan Youth Leadership Team (DYLT) is a special leadership opportunity that will equip you to become a more bold witness to Christ at your parish, school, and throughout our diocese.
You have been nominated for this role because of the joy, energy, and willingness you have shown in building up the faith in our Church. You are a blessing to your parish/school! Prior to submitting an application, please read all the of required qualifications to make sure that you can fully say “yes” to this responsibility. It is vital that you are able to fulfill your obligations. Please also discuss this commitment with your parents or guardians. If you feel called to serve on this leadership team, please submit an application form by filling out the form below. After our Diocesan Youth Ministry Advisory Board reviews your application, we will notify you if you have been accepted to serve on the DYLT for 2023-2024. We are accepting applications through June 30, 2023. All accepted members of Diocesan Youth Leadership will be notified before July 15, 2023.
Diocesan Youth Leaders will help plan and lead diocesan events such as the:
Diocesan Youth Conference Four Regional Thematic Day Retreats March for Life Pilgrimage and Local Events
Diocesan Youth Leaders will help provide a connection between parish ministry and diocesan programs and events. Diocesan Youth Leaders will represent the youth of the diocese to bring their needs and concerns before youth ministry leaders from around the diocese. Finally, Diocesan Youth Leaders will also be encouraged to help create and lead ideas of their own.
The 2023-2024 DYLT will meet for an orientation day at St. Paul Inside the Walls, 205 Madison Ave, Madison, NJ on July 28. We will gather to get to know one another, start preparing for the events of the year, and pray as a team. We will notify you with more information if you are accepted to the DYLT. Let us pray that the Holy Spirit will guide us through our collaboration, teamwork, and leadership development.
