Multi-Cultural Ministry seeks  to engage the various national, ethnic and racial cultures present in our diocese and to nurture the expression of each culture’s particular heritage, language, customs, traditions and piety as vital and integrated parts of the whole Church of Paterson.  Various offices and/or commissions effect this by creating, coordinating and convening events, programs, consultative bodies and resources to minister to particular racial, ethnic and cultural communities within the diocese.   Their tasks, in turn, are to integrate evangelization into the everyday life of the diocese and its parishes, to encourage greater ownership for evangelization among the laity of various nationalities, ethnicities and cultures, and to encourage culturally diverse, relevant and faithful evangelization at the local level.
